what a difference some sun makes
after not having any sun for about 6 months now, it's nice to finally see some, and 2 days in a row at that....now if only we could get it to coincide with a weekend.
i am in desperate need to go somewhere...anywhere...spring always makes me want to travel...but alas, school and money keep me home.....nevermind...perhaps i can at least take a day trip or two soon! I've decided that i can't let school take up all of my time, so i'm doing my best to do all my reading/writing during the week so that i can least find a little time on the weekend to be creative.
and here's a piece that i did this weekend:

As for school and your weekends, I had a supervisor once - who also taught classes at my school - who created sacred time, for lack of a better word, where under no circumstances would she work later than x time during the week and under no circumstances would she work on the weekends. Though with school you may not have the flexibility to say you will do no homework past a certain time of night during the week, you likely DO have the flexibility to get enough time during the week to get all of your assignments done and can designate the weekends as "no homework days under any circumstances, even during finals week."
For her, it created a lot of peace and serenity and helped her to make a nice distinction between HER time and work time. You need some "me" time, it seems, even if you choose to spend that time with others, you need time that is always going to be clear of homework, other work, and other obligations. Having a free day or weekend just to catch up on chores around the house doesn't cut it, either. Try to schedule so you can get ALL of your obligations completed during the week and if you can get your family to do the same, you will have some awesome family time on the weekend. ;)
Best wishes and I'm still crossing my fingers that you'll get more sun!
