  • Howdy peeps…yes, i know it’s been a while yet again! but i really have been uber busy! the new sociology class has managed to steal every last bit of my time! there is such an insane amount of reading…although i’m just taking one class…so I can’t even imagine how morgane keeps up with all of her reading! At any rate, the reading is interesting, and i’m enjoying the course..even if it is taking up all of my time.  I’ve just completed my first essay and now i’ve got to start my reading to do the next essay…which is twice the length of the first one! I hope that the length doesn’t double each assignment! we’ve got 8 essays to do for the course and 8 books to read and 8 workbooks to read and several audiotapes and video tapes to watch as well!

i don’t know how it’s been where the rest of you are, but the flu has been raging over here….i had a good bout of it a couple of weeks ago which left me unable to get out of bed for about 4 days!! that was one hell of a flu! then it left me with a sinus infection and an ear infection to boot…and a ruptured ear drum!  It seems that every single person at work has had this flu…some several times over…and certainly all of us in our house had it too!

I’m afraid i’ve had no time for art or photography since the course started…although i did manage to get some snaps when i went to a chinese new year celebration…but i’ve not even looked at them yet, nevermind do any work with them…hopefully i’ll get to them soon…if not, perhaps i’ll have them ready by the next chinese new year!
here’s the last piece that i managed to make….it was a month or two ago…but i haven’t posted it here yet..so here ya go :)

  • Hehe.. I’m looking at this thinking how lovely it is and then my brain goes, “I’d love to see that lomo-fied..”

    Obsessive much?!

  • I understand you cannot be much on Xanga with all the work you have to do .  i wish you courage Tracy . But you will be rewarded
And I like the bowl tree among the poppies under a tormented or threatening sky . .

  • That’s a lovely pic.

  • Hi there! Thanks for the birthday wishes. :) I totally empathize with the heavy reading and never feeling like you can get it done if you have more than one class. Yikes. It does, indeed, tend to take up as much spare time as one could possibly have. It’s good that it’s at least interesting. It’s THE WORST when it’s boring as hell AND a lot of pages assigned. heh

For your picture… that’s quite lovely and yet… so lonely, too. It reminds me of the film Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events for how lonely it appears and how subdued the colors appear to be. Maybe it’s the dark clouds above and the thought that it SHOULD be bright colors. Interesting shadow in the back, too. It all reminds me of that movie for some reason.

I hope you are able to get enough time in your world to create more pictures. It seems like you greatly enjoy doing it and it’s always nice to have more joy in life. :)

  • Welcome back for the time being. :)

We’re all busy, and that’s okay. Oh, I think a flu’s going around here as well..

  • Hugs! Hey, stop posting pictures…you make mine look bad!!

  • “Wish” is beautiful, and I loved Skinny Puppy in the late 80′s!! Is this a new release (I’ll have to check it out!). Re: SOCY, I wanted to major in SOCY and Women’s Studies, but now I’m undecided. I enjoyed all three of the courses I took, especially the SOCY and Gender class. Sorry it’s so much work, but I wish I was in there with you!
